Today is Mokshada Ekadashi/ Gita Jayanti

Mokshada Ekadasi is a very special Ekadasi in two regards; the all auspicious day on which Lord Sri Krishna spoke the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, at the place now known as Jyotisha tirtha.

Anyone who gifts a Bhagavad Gita away to a deserving person on this day is bestowed profuse blessings by the Sri Krishna Bhagavan.

The most authentic version of Bhagavad-gita today is Bhagavad Gita As It Is

Why so? Check it out yourself - https://youtu.be/1INEEx_u-t8

Gita Marthon 2018

On 19th December there will be Ekadasi tithi, that is day when Lord Krishna spoke Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, so during this month we distribute Gita  in central jails , schools , old age homes, orphanages etc etc

For distributing free copies to above places we get Gita sponsored from people we know and distribute them.

So if you sponsor some copies (108, 51, 31, 21 ,11) some fortunate souls will get a chance to come in contact with this great book of knowledge And that may transform their lives , as it happened with me and many others.

Vaishnava is never alone

When I first came to the United States I was seemingly alone for one year. But I never felt alone.I always felt the presence of my Guru Maharaja. Myself, I was cooking, I was printing books, I was selling books, everything seemingly alone.
But I did not lose my determination.Actually, you should know this, you are never alone."

Who are mūḍhās?

Prabhupāda: ....... You know who are mūḍhās?
Tripurāri: Yes Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Prabhupāda: Who?
Tripurāri: Fools and rascals who won't take your books. Sometimes we convince them that the philosophy is very nice, and they agree when we use Lord Kṛṣṇa's words, dehino 'smin yathā dehe [Bg. 2.13], and they say "Yes, I can understand that, but I don't need your book," or "I would never read it." We say, "Well, no. Take it."
Prabhupāda: (chuckles) You ask them, "So you want to remain mūḍhā?"
Tripurāri: We say, "No, take it home, and some day you will read it." They think they can find out on their own.
Prabhupāda: That is foolishness. They cannot. Mām eva ya prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te.
Tripurāri: Sometimes they will agree to everything we say, but they will not give a donation. They trust more the man on the T.V.

"One man has become old even without age."

Devotee (2): How do you teach Kṛṣṇa consciousness to a five year old who is only a children? What it means to be a teacher? What teaching...?
Prabhupāda: How you are learning? You are also young. Anyone who is completely, I mean to say, unaware of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he is to be taken as child. Doesn't matter one who has got age. It doesn't depend on the age. It depends on the knowledge. So not only young children, but anyone who is unaware of the science, he is also child. And anyone who knows this science, he is old. Vṛddhatvaṁ vāyasā vinā. There is a Sanskrit word that "One man has become old even without age." This is contradictory. How one can become old without age? Suppose a man, a boy, is sixteen years old, just like Śukadeva Gosvāmī. He was teaching Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam when he was only sixteen years old, but he was so learned that when he entered the assembly, all the great sages, including his father, stood up to receive him. So he was oldest. So he was older than his father even. Why? Because he was so learned. So our childishness or experience, old age, means according to the acquirement of knowledge. If one is advanced in knowledge, he is to be understood older. And if one is not advanced in knowledge, he is a child. That's all. So child does not mean that a five years old boy. Just like Prahlāda Mahārāja, he was only five years old, and just see how nicely he is teaching. So he is older than any other man.

Srila Prabhupada on Lord Ganesha Worship

Guest: (indistinct) Any worship we first worship Lord Ganeśa, India.
Prabhupāda: That is not necessary. That is not necessary. If we worship other demigods to fulfill our, some particular desire... (Hindi) There are different demigods they worship, but one who knows that "If I approach Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Lord, then everything is obtained..."
Room Conversation -- November 11, 1971, New Delhi

So far worshiping Ganesa is concerned, that is not necessary. Not that it should be done on a regular basis. If you like you can pray to Ganapati for removing all impediments on the path of Krishna Consciousness. That you can do if you like.
Letter to: Sivananda — London 25 August, 1971

The Ganesa puja may not be performed. No, it is not to be done. No need of it.

Letter to: Sudama — Bombay 21 November, 1974

Regarding Ganesa Puja, I have received some letters from persons requesting to also perform it. I have explained to them that ultimately it is not required, but if you have some sentiment to get the blessings of Ganesa in order to get huge sums of money for service of Krishna, then it can be done, but privately. I have instructed them that if they want to do it, they must send me at least 100,000 dollars monthly—not less.

A Day in the Life of Srila Prabhupada-10th September

If we take this case into court and spend so much money for big big lawyers, and still if we do not win, then they have got legal right to stop us. So better to forget this business of lawyers and judges and simply go on with Sankirtana. That is Civil disobedience movement. Let them fill their jails with us again and again, but we shall not stop our Sankirtana movement. Also it may help if you get some public sympathy through publicizing our constant persecution in the newspaper journals. Gradually the city officials and constabulary will become embarrassed to arrest us further and gradually we will be allowed to carry on our Sankirtana unhampered.
